What a typical Anderson move looks like
Most of our residential jobs start with a short walk-through, either at your home or over a video call where you carry the phone room to room. We count furniture, ask about anything unusual like a gun safe or a hot tub, and check the access at both ends.
On the day, the crew pads door frames and stair rails, lays runners on hard floors and carpet, and wraps furniture in moving blankets before it leaves the room. Drawers get taped shut so nothing slides open on the stairs.
Houses versus apartments
A single-family house in a neighborhood like the ones off Scatterfield Road usually means driveway access, a garage, and outdoor items such as grills and patio sets. We load those first while the truck is empty and easy to organize.
Apartments bring different problems: stairs instead of a driveway, tighter hallways, and sometimes a building rule about which entrance a mover can use. We ask about all of that up front so the crew size matches the real work.
Setting up at the new place
Once the truck is unloaded, beds get reassembled, dressers go back together, and boxes land in the rooms you point at rather than a pile by the front door. We walk the truck with you before we leave to make sure nothing was left behind.
If you have booked unpacking as well, the crew keeps going until the kitchen is usable and the flattened cardboard is gone from the house.
Weather and timing around Anderson
Summer is our busiest stretch, mostly because of school schedules and lease turnover. An early start beats the afternoon heat, so we try to get the heaviest furniture on the truck first thing when we can.
Winter moves need a different kind of planning, mostly around keeping walkways clear and salted so nobody slips carrying a dresser down the front steps.
Special items we plan for
Pianos, gun safes, hot tubs, and pool tables come up often enough in Anderson homes that we treat them as their own line on the walk-through rather than an afterthought. Each has its own carry method and its own crew size.
A gun safe alone can weigh more than most furniture combined, so knowing about it ahead of time lets us bring the right dolly and the right number of people instead of improvising on the day.
If a large item will not fit through a standard doorway, we would rather know during the estimate than discover it while the piece is already halfway out.
