Booking and timing
Most local moves can be booked with about two weeks of notice, though the end of the month and the middle of summer fill up faster. Longer trips toward Indianapolis or Muncie are worth booking a little earlier if your date is fixed.
If something falls through with another mover and you are in a bind, call anyway. Schedules open up more often than people expect, and we will tell you honestly whether we can fit you in.
Pricing questions
Local jobs are billed by the crew size and the hours it takes, starting when the crew arrives and ending when the last item is placed. Longer trips are priced by the size of the load and the distance traveled.
You get the estimate before your date is locked in, and if the scope changes on the day, such as an extra room of boxes nobody mentioned, we tell you before we load anything new.
Packing and belongings
You can book full packing, partial packing for just the fragile rooms, or handle it yourself and let us focus on the loading and driving. Whatever you decide, tell the estimator so the quote matches the actual work.
Anything you would rather carry yourself, like documents or jewelry, is completely fine. We just ask that you let us know so the crew is not looking for it.
Junk removal and cleanouts
Junk removal can be booked on its own or paired with a move, and we sort items for donation or recycling where it makes sense rather than sending everything straight to disposal.
If you are not sure whether something counts as junk removal or a move, describe the job and we will tell you how it is usually handled.
Scheduling and changes
Plans change, and we understand that. If your closing date slips or a lease gets extended, let us know as early as you can so we can shift your slot rather than cancel it outright.
For jobs booked well in advance, a quick check-in call about a week out confirms nothing has changed on either side before the crew is scheduled.
